Best Acne Treatment On The Market

Whenever anyone asks me what's the best acne treatment available I can buy I always give the same answer: Prevent acne by working out your own skin care regime and stick to it religiously because prevention is better than cure and well cared for skin will rarely get acne.

All these adverts in the magazines and on TV etc. claiming that their product is the best acne treatment on the market cannot really back up those claims because its impossible to prove. Everyone has different causes of acne, different skin types and some of us are more susceptible to certain ingredients within their treatments etc.

In other words, what may well work for your best friend may well not work on you so no particular type of acne treatment can proclaim to be "The Best Acne Treatment In The World."

Another point worth remembering when you are on the hunt for an acne treatment is that it is in the manufacturers interests that they do NOT cure your acne. There treatments will show an improvement to your acne in a few days as the ads claim but they are very harsh on your skin so that as soon as you stop using the treatment another outbreak occurs and it's usually worse than the first one you had!

How does this happen? The treatments remove the essential oils from your skin so your glands produce extra to try and replace them as quickly as they are being removed. This extra oil is kept in check while you continue to apply the treatment but once you stop, your body doesn't realize it can stop producing the extra oil and your skin can't cope with the extra so the acne breaks out again.

When the new acne breaks out a few days later the manufacturers hope that you will remember how well their treatment got your spots to go down last time and so rush out to buy more, believing theirs to really be the "best acne treatment on the market."

So, next time you are in the drugstore looking at all those acne products wondering if any of these could really be the best acne treatment, stop and move to the skin care products. You will want a quality cleanser which you should use last thing at night before bed. Also get yourself some quality moisturizer and toner which should be used in the morning after a gentle wash with none perfumed soap.

When you first start your skin care regime you will probably already have an acne outbreak. If so, choose one of the mild treatments and apply it once per day straight after you have applied the toner and moisturizer.

Ideally you should be looking for an acne skin care treatment such as AcneZine. This type of treatment may take a little longer to work but it is designed to be much kinder to your skin so in the long term will work much better than even a product declaring itself the best acne treatment on the market.

How The Acne Cures Industry Cons Billions A Year

The acne cures industry is making billions a year in follow up sales by ensuring their products DO NOT cure acne.

If you do not believe me go talk to people in the know and I am not reffering to the shop assistant in your drugstore. I'm talking about people who have to know all about about acne cures because their livelihood depends on it: Models!

I spent time with models and whenever I asked them how they manage to keep their skin acne free they all said the same thing, "Do not touch over the counter acne cures, they're all designed to make sure you DON'T cure your acne." Or as one famous New York model said to me

Listen hun, your telling me you believe they can give us a pill that stops us having babies but they can't cure a few zits?....Please!

Here's how it works with most acne cures: While the initial treatment usually does have an effect on the visible spots, it's also very harsh on your skin. It removes essential oils that are needed to stop your skin from drying up and prematurely aging. Because these oils are being removed, your body goes into overdrive and starts producing extra amounts.

This extra oil is kept in check while you are using the treatment but once the treatment is finished or your visible spots have disappeared and you stop using it, POW! you get another major outbreak because your body is still producing too much oil for your face. So what do you? You go back to the drug store and buy the acne treatment again.

Its a viscous circle and the manufacturers love it. They are guaranteed repeat sales time after time!

So how do you get out of this viscous cycle that makes the acne cures market billions of dollars in repeat sales year after year? Create yourself a complete skincare program and make sure you adhere to it every single day because skin that is cared for rarely gets spots and we all know that prevention is better than cure right?

Use a cleanser every night before you go to bed that is mild and made for sensitive skin. In the morning apply a toner followed by a moisturizer. Make sure the cleanser, toner and moisturizer are of good quality. If you currently have an outbreak of acne use one of the acne cures that are made for mild skin and apply it AFTER you use the moisturizer.

I first learnt about how acne cures are nothing more than a con when working at a fashion house as part of my degree. I had terrible acne and the models who visited would all give me advice and inside info only the rich and famous are usually privy to.
